Back in 2011, Richard Florida wrote a book called The Great Reset: How the Post-Crash Economy Will Change the Way We Live and Work, which “frames the economic meltdown of 2008–09 not as a crisis but as an opportunity to “reset.” Perhaps the WEF has taken this concept and re-branded his idea as a climate change/social justice response to the inevitable fallout of the 2008 financial crisis.
